SAYING 'GOOD BYE' TO OUR FORMER DOCTORAL STUDENTS

Our former doctoral students Asta Navickaitė and Agnė Rocienė received their PhD‘s in Biology: Entomology and Plant Parasitology. The defences of the dissertations were held on September 26, 2014 at a public meeting of the Biology/Entomology and Plant Parasitology Council: Lithuanian University of Educational Sciences; Vilnius University; the Nature Research Centre, Vilnius; Vytautas Magnus University, Kaunas, Lithuania; Cambridge University, Cambridge, U.K.; the Smithsonian Institution, Washington D.C., USA.

Asta Navickaitė defended her doctoral dissertation on Taxonomy, Chorological Composition and Trophic Relationships of the Euronemoral Fauna of Nepticulidae, Insecta, Lepidoptera (accompanied by 19 publications). Scientific supervisor: Assoc. Professor Dr. Arūnas Diškus; scientific advisor: Professor Dr. (Habil. Dr.) Jonas R. Stonis.

Agnė Rocienė defended her doctoral dissertation on Taxonomy of the Nepticulidae of Continental East Asia, Insecta, Lepidoptera" (accompanied by 12 publications). Scientific supervisor: Professor Dr. (Habil. Dr.) Jonas R. Stonis; scientific advisor: Professor Dr. Virginijus Sruoga.
